Transient Dawn

Apr 1, 2012 by     1 Comment     Posted under: Ballad

Far in the distance all I see,

A devouring black hole awaiting me.

Every tunnel has light at the end,

These are just words,

For there’re voids that never mend.

That black hole keeps on growing

Like the night that keeps on darkening,

Intensifying with the lapse of time

Yet following the ever so transient dawn;

That always burns into sunny cinders.

How many breaths will it take

To gather the incinerated debri?

Only to see it rekindle,

One more time with the fiery dusk.

Alight and shining till the very beginning or the end

Trying to hold forever the twilight’s hand.

To tell you, it’s a useless drill we’re busy at –

A heartening effort to brave all the darkness.

Just to see the dawn and hold it from fading out of sight.

The never ending alternations

Between moments of life

And moments of death.
