It is common knowledge that Superhero movies can easily become cliché, its true after a while every Superhero movie starts to look the same. But Captain America: The Winter Soldier managed to change that and become Marvel’s best film yet.

It’s easy to think that Captain America was a character that wouldn’t have worked, with a classically emblazoned American flag costume, Captain America just didn’t seem to gain much popularity with public the way the other Avengers did. Especially since Chris Evans already gained immense success as his role of the Human Torch/Johnny Storm.

After watching Captain America : The First Avenger , if you didn’t like the movie the way I didn’t your first instinct would probably be to not bother watching the sequel because you know it would probably disappoint you the way the first one did. Well forget your instincts and go see that movie because your instinct is wrong, The Winter Solider is a huge improvement from the first movie. And Marvel is to be given a huge round of applause.

In Captain America: The First Avenger, Steve Rogers’ incorruptible goodness worked without question because of the whole World War II scenario. In The Avengers, he was forced again into action almost immediately. But by the time Captain America: The Winter Soldier comes around, there is a bit of a time gap during which Steve has had some time to get used to his current surroundings and debating whether he likes them or not.

Nick Fury played by Samuel L. Jackson, informs Rogers that S.H.I.E.L.D. is developing weapons that promise to take care of any threat before it happens. The best part about the film was that it worked on a new, more different level than any other Marvel film yet. Not that there’s anything wrong with aiming to just entertain which is exactly what these movies are for. But working on a new angle is a good thing. It might just prevent superhero movies from becoming cliché.

This movie is possibly the most important film to come yet in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It is a must watch. At almost every point a new piece of information is revealed that you will not want to miss especially if you’re a big Marvel fan and plan on seeing all future movies Marvel has planned. Almost everything that happens in the movie will likely have a lasting effect for several more installments in the franchise.

Of course revealing all the good parts over here would be a crime. Steve Rogers learns that S.HI.E.L.D has been compromised so he sets out on his own to undo the damage. The story is extremely engrossing right from the starts and never lets you down right till the end. We are introduced to some new characters that are very hard to not take an immediate liking to.

With the help of Natasha Romanoff , Rogers sets out to take out those who took over S.H.I.E.L.D and in that way we get to see a lot of character development for both. It’s always fun seeing Captain America with Black Widow. The action scenes are, as always, brilliantly done although the CGI effects could have been a little better.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier is a big step in the right direction for these movies and definitely a good sign for the future Captain America 3. Here’s a quick sneak peak for you guys. Let me know if you enjoyed it through your comments. Chao!
