Day 3:

By the day 3 the events of Enigma were slowly winding down. The first session began at a tranquil pace as everyone was still recovering from the trip to Dreamworld the night before; thanks to the elimination of the teams from competitions the crowds seemed to be thinner too. However, it was only the calm before the storm as many participants prepared for their finale performances and judgments.

The cooks in training of Chef’s lair hurried to think of that one dessert which would set them apart from the other teams while keeping in the budget allotted to them. Final rounds of ‘Mind boggle’, ‘Movie Junkie’, ‘Maths Genie’ went on in the classrooms while the teams of ‘Footsal (boys)’ and ‘Throwball (girls)’ prepared for the semi finals. The foyer was occupied by students of ‘Snap It’, ‘movie making’ and ‘Live and Thematic arts’ as they prepared for their latest assignments. A pleasant distraction was provided by the whole team of vocals as they went from event to event serenading the other participants as a part of their entertainment session.

After an appropriate interval for Friday prayers the second session of the day began with the same energy as before but this time everyone had reason to wanting to rush things a bit more. The formal dinner was going to be the most important social event of Enigma and the girls specially wanted much needed break to get ready for the event. The end of the session saw many MT as well as participants leaving campus grounds before the dinner started, while others similarly headed to the restrooms to change into their formal dresses.  As dusk spread across the foyer and grounds, IBA welcomed a stream of well-dressed and eager invitees for the formal dinner.

The event did not disappoint. The formal dinner was all that had been promised…and more. A beautiful, spacious tent of red and black gauze material and the luxurious seating arrangements instantly created the illusion of glamour. The theme of “Red Carpet” was embraced enthusiastically by the management as well as the participants and everyone had dressed up to the nines. Starting off by a dance performance by the management team, the dinner had an award ceremony to give recognition to those participants who had truly brought the spirit of Enigma to light, as well as those outstanding teamsters and MT who had made the event a success. Mostly sweet and some satirically the titles were received with a lot of applause; with Faisal Iftekhar getting the highly apt title of “Kaam, Kaam aur Kaam”. The evening dispersed in the exceptional dinner and general mingling as the people celebrated the end of the third day of Enigma.
