Misery

So tall you stand, son of Adam,
But your stance seems so jittery,
You are trying to hide your misery.
You are falling down an endless pit,
Your only savior is death,
Life gets unbearable with every passing moment,
You still choose not to hold your breath.
Don’t stand tall son of Adam,
You can’t hide your misery.
You lie in the Arctic, so vulnerable,
A matchstick keeps you warm,
But you try to melt the ice around you,
You lose the life, not the charm.
Don’t stand tall son of Adam,
You can’t hide your misery.
You swim in ocean so free and fast,
You swim so far you lose your way,
A boat appears, Alas you’re saved,
The boat is small, you choose to stay.
Don’t stand tall son of Adam,
You can’t hide your misery.
These are perils of inglorious wisdom,
Your world is filled with cavity,
You still choose not to surrender your pride,
You won’t give yourself to gravity.
You can’t stand tall anymore son of Adam,

Your misery is there for all to see.
